Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions govern the purchase of products from stepsnladders.co.uk. The purchase contract will be based on these terms and conditions only, unless there is a written variation agreed between the customer and stepsnladders.co.uk.
Order and dispatch
You make an agreement for the delivery of products with the e-commerce website stepsnladders.co.uk.
All our offers are not-binding. Your order is an offer to buy the products from us. We then accept that offer by confirming the despatch of the products via e-mail, fax or letter. All prices are shown in UK pounds and include VAT. There is no minimum order value.
stepsnladders.co.uk offers a service of delivering goods promoted on this website at budget prices. We are not a manufacturer and do not hold stock of any items as we are simply a portal between manufacturer/distributor to you the customer.
Our services include a carrier delivery service for goods which can be delivered direct to you the customer at any UK mainland destination (there may be extra charge for items over 6 meters in closed length). We can deliver to your home, work or construction site with most products being despatched for delivery within 4 working days providing we receive the order before 12.00pm noon and the relevant stock is available. Some Specialist items may take upto 10 working days.
Delivery Services are as follows:- Standard Service - FREE (2 -4 working days, Mon – Fri Only) - England, Wales and Scotland *please note that delivery options are based on items being in stock.
We ask that you please ensure that all items are delivered in good condition before signing for the product. This is to protect you the customer, as we may not be liable for any goods that are damaged in transit while also being signed for as in good condition. If this mistake does happen then the customer should contact us urgently (not including weekends & bank holidays) so that we can arrange collection and replace any damaged goods. Once the goods have been delivered and signed for in good condition responsibility passes to the customer.
Returns Policy
Due to Consumer Protection Regulations 2000, the customer may return the goods within 7 days of delivery and be refunded the full price paid. This is providing that the customer has taken a reasonable amount of care in ensuring the goods are maintained in good and re-sellable condition. Any products that wish to be returned by the customer after 7 days of the original delivery date is at the discretion of stepsnladders.co.uk
To return the following conditions must be fulfilled:-
Goods returned must be received in as new condition within specified time scale. Goods must be returned including all packaging, manuals, etc for that product.
Returning any products may incur carriage and re-stocking charges which will be added on the application. (These will not be added for non customer damage). The goods will remain the customers responsibility until the merchant, manufacturer or supplier of the merchant signs for the returned goods.
All goods must be returned within 30 days of the original delivery date. If upon receipt the returned goods fail to meet the above conditions then the company may refuse to accept the goods.
A refund for the goods will be made for the same amount minus any applicable charges via the same payment method and card that was used to make the original purchase. All refunds will be returned to the relevant account/card within 30 days of the return. Refunds cannot be made for postal charges incurred by the customer in returning the goods to us.
Payment
We accept the following means of payment:-
Paypal, Debit/credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Visa Electron, Delta).
Once you confirm your order and you have made payment using the above means you will then receive a confirmation email from stepsnladders.co.uk via paypal. We will then arrange to have your item(s) despatched with a standard delivery. If you decide to pay via credit/debit card you will be asked for your card number (16 digits), the expiry date and the 3-digit security number on the back of the card. If you do not wish to transfer your credit card data online, you may also call us directly to deal with your order.
We use your personal information to provide the services you've requested (i.e. process your order). We may also use this information for auditing, research and analysis to operate and improve our technologies and services. We will not pass your details on to any third parties.
